The official apostille fee

In Belgium, the apostille is issued by the FPS Foreign Affairs (Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs). A fixed fee is charged per apostilled document. This amount is set by the federal administration and may change over time.

We deliberately do not state a precise figure here: the official tariff must always be verified on the official channel of the FPS Foreign Affairs at the time of your request, because it is subject to revision. It is the State that sets this fee, not a private agency. Be wary of websites that advertise a guaranteed price for the apostille itself: only the official channel is authoritative.

The apostille is today requested mainly through the official digital channel (e-apostille). The fee is paid per document: if you need three documents apostilled, you pay the fee three times.

The total cost : three line items to add up

The price of the apostille alone almost never reflects the real budget of your file. To have a Belgian document recognised abroad, here are the three possible line items:
